The reception has been a bit dodgy but it’s all sorted now…

Okay so we have known our actual wedding ceremony will be at the Duke of York’s cinema for some time, but just what we are all going to do about eating, drinking, dancing and speechifying has been causing sleepless nights. But we can now announce the running order for the day and evening festivities.

The ceremony starts at 2.30 (forthcoming attractions and ads first) with doors open at 2pm for you to stock up on Butterkist, over-priced Maltesers in boxes and fizzy pop.

After the ceremony, the plan is to walk into the park (Preston Park is a few minutes walk away) and take wedding photos and drink some champagne with cake. Now this is a gift (of a gift) for somebody (or somebodies) to take on. We have the champagne covered but some home-made (or even shop-bought) cakes for the park would be a great wedding gift.

The reception will then commence at 6.30 BST at BHASVIC The Brighton Hove & Sussex Sixth Form College 205 Dyke Road Hove BN3 6EG. The reception is in the main hall there which is a beautiful wood panelled room with stained glass and murals along the walls. It can be walked to from Brighton Station (see map ) in about 15 mins and is about 15 mins from Preston Park too. Here is a map of the area.

So, if you fancy lolling in the park, or exploring Brighton you have time between the two events for either or both.
