Stuff, we have. We've got plenty of stuff. We don't have much room for more stuff. What we tend not to have is time. And our house needs a little time spent on it. So, if anyone would like to give the gift of time to us, or would like to pay for someone else's time to get some things done around our house, here are some ideas.
- message board - For a crafty person, here's something we haven't got around to doing yet: making ourselves a fancy notice/bulletin board for the kitchen. We're thinking about something that's about the size of a movie poster (at the cinema), with a nice fabric covering and then an over-wrought frame (something that looks like it should be framing a Rembrandt or something).
- painting bookshelves - We had a floor-to-ceiling MDF bookcase made in our spare room, but so far haven't found time to paint it. We have the paint, but before we can bother with that all of the MDF needs to be prepared with a sealer. We could have a painting party together, if you like!
- fireplace - This one probably needs a qualified gas person, but our gas fireplace stopped working some months ago and we just don't seem to be able to get ourselves organised to call a repairperson. Just making the call for us would be a gift!
